Trustee Phillip E. Yarborough presents Santa Ana College (SAC) student Noe J. Aparicio with a recognition certificate as a recipient of the Rancho Santiago Community College Board of Trustees President’s Scholar Award. An enthusiastic student in the MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) Program who dreams of becoming both a scientist and researcher, Noe is studying biomedical engineering and plans to transfer to UCLA to complete a bachelor’s degree.
Noe is dedicated to the principle that “it is what you make of yourself that makes a person unique.” He appreciates the support and motivation he has received from faculty, staff and students associated with the MESA Program.
He hopes that he will not only become a successful scientist, but also a community leader. His commitment to giving back is evidenced in his active involvement at SAC. In addition to his participation in the MESA Program, Noe is involved in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the Partnership for Transfer Success Program, U-Link, and the Honors Program. He is also part of a member of SAC’s new Student Ambassadors Program and volunteers in the Student Outreach office.
